DC Systems was formed in 1989 by Douglass L. Campbell. Mr. Campbell has extensive experience in data acquisition and control systems and has been responsible for many innovations in hardware and systems design including:

1984: EQUiNET

The first PC based multi-user electric utility SCADA system using a windowed user interface.

1986: iRTU-4000

The first distributed electric substation data acquisition computer, consisting of a communications control node and a series of input/output nodes, linked via a high speed local area network.

1988: iRTU-500

The first low-power, mini data acquisition computer designed for use on pole tops in electric utility distribution networks.

1991: RTscada

The first UNIX based electric utility SCADA system based on an integral artificial intelligence expert system.

1996: RTscada

The first high-performance Windows-based distributed data acquisition and control system.

2001: RTscada EnergyManager

An innovative software package which allows large energy users to monitor and manage their energy consumption and reduce costs
