DC Systems Overview
DC Systems is a leading developer of Smart Grid software for utilities, grid operators, large energy users, and power generators. Founded in 1990, the company has pioneered solutions that provide powerful architectural advantages by combining distributed intelligence with centralized data management. Customers worldwide use the DC Systems RT Smart Grid Platform to put intelligence where it is needed—in hundreds of locations such as substations, control centers, and power generation sites—while centralizing configuration, administration and monitoring at the enterprise level. DC Systems’ advanced solutions enable utilities and generators to achieve better operational efficiencies, reduce operating costs, and provide higher levels of reliability and service to their customers.
The company’s software solutions are backed by implementation support tools and processes that have been honed over two decades to ensure smooth deployments for customers. The RT Smart Grid Platform is highly modularized and, therefore, highly customizable. Many of the product enhancements to RT have been driven by customer request and the platform’s modularity makes it highly customizable via built-in configuration options.
DC Systems is an employee-owned corporation that has been profitable since its inception. The company’s management carefully balances growth with execution for current customers and has invested significantly in the technical and business infrastructure to embark on an accelerated growth path to meet rapidly increasing demand for innovative but reliable Smart Grid software.
DC Systems is headquartered at Pacific Shores Center, alongside other innovative companies within a campus-like environment on the bay lands of Redwood City, California. Along with an industry-leading compensation and benefits package, the company has positioned itself to attract and retain energy technology talent across a range of disciplines.
