Flexible, Powerful Control

One of the most used, yet often overlooked facets of a SCADA system is control. RTscada provides an intuitive, easy to use control interface. All interaction is done via pop-up dialogs. Controlling a point is as easy as pointing to the desired point on a graphic screen and clicking on it. All possible control actions are presented in a logical, easy to understand format. Each control action includes a two step select and execute procedure. Each step features a timeout which will cancel the action if it is not completed within the prescribed time.

Tagging is supported for status and virtual points. Any number of tags may be defined in the configuration database. Tags may have one of three severities, each with a different control interaction:

• Caution - No control inhibit, an extra step is inserted in the select/execute sequence which provides a cautionary message.
• Non Test - Close actions blocked, open allowed
• Man On Line - Both close and open actions blocked
• Analog control supports all popular control actions:
  • Analog output
  • Setpoint
  • Simple raise/lower digital output
  • Timed pulse output
