RTscada: Display Editor

The RTscada display editor is used to create and maintain graphical views. These views may contain single-line diagrams, geographic diagrams, tabular data, graphs, etc. The editor features a CAD-like interface which provides advanced editing capabilities.

Views consist of objects, which can be simple objects, such as lines, rectangles, circles, polygons, etc, or complex objects such as sub-drawings, graphs, bitmap images, etc. Text can be entered using TrueType fonts. The editor supports advanced features such as multiple windows, cut & paste, and drag & drop.

Once an object has been created on a view, dynamics can be added to connect the object to real-time data. The object dynamics are driven by real-time data values. Twenty-two dynamics types are provided, such as foreground/background color, rotation, fill, scale, move, visibility, etc.

Objects and dynamics can be easily combined to form re-usable symbols that are stored for later use. Symbols are complete sub-drawings that can be easily added to other views.

One of the advanced object types is the graph object. RTscada provides over 75 different graph types, which can be added to a view, just like any other object. Many graphs can display multiple simultaneous variables. The graph types include traditional time series graphs, such as bar, line, circular chart, surface, etc. In addition, graphical instrument graphs provide data display via familiar objects such as meter, dial, controller, etc.

Views and objects are fully scalable for easy resizing. Most objects can be set to maintain a fixed size or scale as the view is zoomed.
