RTscada: Inter-System Communication

RTscada is a scalable, distributed system. As such, it is applicable to a wide range of installations, from substations to regional control centers to utility-wide operation centers. In these multi-faceted situations, exchange of data between system is imperative. RTscada delivers with a flexible inter-system communications subsystem. Data can be configured for export on a device by device basis, with individual point export enable. The system administrator can define the remote system(s) that are to receive data for each device. In addition, data can be routed via direct connections between system or via intermediate systems.

When data is exported, the exporting system sends all required configuration information to the importing system(s). No extra configuration is needed at the importer(s).

Alarm information can be specified separately for exporting and importing systems. Thus a point can be a critical alarm at the exporter, a minor alarm at one importer, and not alarmed at another importer.
