RTscada: Security
In today's world of hackers and cyber-terrorists, SCADA security is a critical issue. RTscada leads the field with advanced, state-of-the-art security features. You can rest assured that your RTscada system is secure from unauthorized access. RTscada builds on top of the Windows security model by adding four important features: AuthenticationRTscada assigns a unique, hardware verified, machine identifier to every computer which accesses the system. This identifier assures that access to the system is limited to authenticated computers and users. AuthorizationThe RTscada security database assigns user and program permissions on a computer by computer basis. Only authorized users may access the system and each user may only run the programs that are authorized by the system administrator. EncryptionAll log-on and control actions are encrypted to prevent hackers from using intercepted log-on and authorization codes. Time TaggingAll log-on and control action contain an embedded, encrypted time tag. This prevents a packet from being captured with a network sniffer and replayed at a later date. |
